wooo hoooo 2 LO's in 2 days

It's got to be some kind of miracle that I've now done 2 layouts in 2 days, lol. I don't think that has ever happened before.
I've done this one for KISS.
I have started another one, one that I have been dying to try for yonks, but I've run out of black ink and the photo didn't print out properly, so I'll have to wait for that one.

Well, tomorrow is the big day.......... we have a meeting with Connor's principal, school councilor, head of primary and his teacher. Not really looking forward to it, but it has to be done. I just hope that we can sort through some issues and maybe come up with some ideas of how to deal with him better.

Connor seems to be getting worse. Which is not what we need right now. He had a bad weekend and every time I could see something in advance that may trigger him off, I would try to sheild the blow before it hit him. But I could save hm from everything. Maybe this is something I shouldn't be doing, maybe I should let him come face to face with these small things to make him get over it. Who knows.......... at least he didn't end up in the principals office again today, so that's a plus.

Wish us luck!

........ a new position!

I was showing Kylie from KISS the cover to the 6X6" calendar I'd done for the Scap Girls Retreat coming up (btw, Kylie sells these online and is donating them at the retreat), and I jokingly asked if she wanted a DT. Well she said "YES", so I now have a new position.
I poped over today to pick up some goodies to do some layouts and cards and the papers are so yummy, can't wait to start.
I was doing a layout last night using the new BG Color me silly range and I showed to Kylie and within a minute she had already uploaded it to her homepage. Connor is going to be excited when I show him tomorrow when school is finished.
She now it's off to planning some lo using scrummy, yummy papers!!!!!!

the start of something good

I've started to do the calendar for the "Calendar Challenge" for the retreat. I've only done the cover so far, but hey, it's a start, lol.
I'll do the next few pages with supplies that have been donated, but the cover I did with PINK Chatterbox, gee, that doesn't sound like me at all.
I'm going to the challenge instructions using a sketch for each page. I think that will make the challenge seem a bit more acheivable in a small out amount of time.
Here's a sneak peak.............................................

What do I do?????

I've just arrived home from picking the kids up from school.
Connor had another really bad day at school today, so bad in fact the he has spent nearly the entire day in the office and the principals office. He only went back to class just after lunch.

I think what triggered him today was the fact that I was there reading with some of the other Kindy kids this morning and his teacher was in a meeting so they started with a casual teacher. Well that was a disaster!

I did hear him in the office when I dropped my visitors badge off, screamming. Appartently he was jumping all over the furniture and everything in Mr Cockrams office he also apparently kicked, pinched and hit both Mr Cockram and Mr O'Hare.

Now, he is playing rather happily in the lounge room with Gotham City. I did tell him that there is NO tv this afternoon, but of course then Shanice gets punished too for something she didn't do.

What do I do??????????????????????????

It's still another 2 weeks until his psychologists appointment. I don;t think I can wait until then.

Gone SHOPPING & the crazy babysitter returns

Gee I take some crap photos! LOL. Must put that in my "to do" list,to take better photo's.

Sheree came over yesterday to pick up a disc which turned out Anthony took to work, so we decided to go to Scrapabout Australia in Parramatta. They have some awesome teachers and their stock is great too, even though it is small in size.
At least now I know where it is, so I think I may become a regular there, lol.
I got some of the totally yummy NEW Junkitz & SEI papers, some of the small Heidi Swapp ghost letters, and the New Heidi Swapp distresser. Then I came home to the new Scrapbookin g Memories in my letter box.
What a great day it turned out to be. Even better because i didn't do any housework, lol.

Then I got the phone to pick up the girls from school again today. Oh yay! a house full of 4 kids that don't listen and make a huge mess. And then another 2 kids arriving at 5.30pm for me to babysit for the evening.
I have to learn to say NO, especially when last night was supposed to be our first "family fun night" .This was Connor's idea and at the moment I'll do anything to make him have a good day.

Speaking of Connor we have an appointment for him to see a child pyschologist in 2 weeks. So I'm hoping that will sort the anger issues out. But we have had 4 really good days at school this week, which has made me so happy.
And to top that off Connor received his very first Merit Certificate at his school assembely yesterday and I cried when he showed me. I'm so proud of my kids when they achieve these, but extra proud of my little man as this has been a rough few weeks for him. I think even Mr Cockram (the principal) was proud of him when he gave the award to Connor.
Let's hope that we can have some more good days next week.

We are off up to mum's in about an hour. Mandy if having a bbq for Ben's birthday so that should be fun.
I suppose I should go and get dressed, get the kids dressed, make beds, wash up, clean up, pack the overnight bag. I don't think an hour will be enough time, lol.

BG class

I went and do a class tonight. The lovely Sheree was the teacher - YAY!!!!
It was using the new Basic Grey papers which are so yum. I love the bright "Color me Silly" range, but they are not really me, so I stepped up to the challenge and went out of my comfort zone and came up with this creation based on Sheree's original page.
I'm really quite happy with it.
Oh, and I must admit, I love this picture of the kids. Their facial expressions just show how much they really do love each other. And it's just so darn cute!

.........tagged

I've been tagged! by the lovely Sheree. Thanks Sheree!
I haven't been tagged before, so this sounds like a bit of fun. Here goes:
What scrapbook lines/products etc do you dislike? I hate with a passion any type of stickers. Just can't stand them
What is the hardest thing you ever had to scrap? ummmmm a tough one!!! probably anything with me in them as I am to quick to criticize myself
What technique do you use more than anything else? inking. I ink absolutely anything and everything. I just can't get enough of it
What is the smallest scrap of paper you save? This sounds really cheap, and yes I am but I will save paper down to the size of a post-it note. Well, I might use it on a card or something. Eventually after a year or two I'll throw it out, LOL
Have you ever had any scrapping related injuries? I've done plenty of stabbing with my fiskars soft touch scissors and loads of paper cuts and also cuts from my trimmer too. Oh, and I've also stapled my finger!
Finish this sentence, "If I wasn't a scrapbooker/stamper, I would spend my money on....ME!! I'd buy new shoes and handbags and loads of clothes and jeans.
Give your best storage or organisational idea: Save your pasta sauce jars. I paint the lids and use them to store that colour ribbons.
You just won a week long scrapbooking cruise for 5. Who is going with you? ummmmm..... Would definitely have to have Sheree and Tracy. I'd HAVE to take my sister Mandy or she'd chuck a hissy fit. She'd only come for the drinks anyways, lol. Then I'd have the last 2 spots for my other 2 Scrap Girls Partner in Crimes, lol, Caz and Mel. It would be more of a party cruise than a scrappin cruise
When you received your first publication notification, who did you tell? I think I told the kids first and then Ant. I then rang my mum because I tell her everything

So, what's next? I have to tag someone else right? Well, Sheree tagged me and I know she's the only one who reads my blog, lol. But maybe I'll Tracy, that's if she reads it, lol.

On to other news................
I had a lovely visit today from my bestest friend in the world, Dallas and she brought the lovely Makayla. She's 14 months now and growing up to fast. She's starting to walk which kept us on our toes. I had to keep rescuing her from the depths of Shancie's room.

Well, I suppose the washing up is calling. YUK!

Princess Shanice turns.........7

Where have the past seven years gone?
I was just saying to Anthony about 20minutes ago that 7 years ago I would have just been wheeled out of the delivery suite to see my beautiful baby girl for the first time.
Let's not get into the dramas of my first child's labor, but sweet Shanice came out not breathing and was raced to the 3 pediatrician's waiting and then to a humidy crib. I could not walk for the 3 bumps of the epidural I'd had and was so out of it, it wasn't funny.
There you go a little reminisce for the evening.

But, after that first initial hiccup of her life, she has turned into the most perfect little girl. I love her so much.
My beautiful sausage.

We celebrated her birthday yesterday as that's when her party was for all her school friends. She had a pool party at Stanhope Gardens Aquatic Centre. They had a ball on the inflatable I didn't have to lift a finger which was even better, LOL.
All the family came to our house for a bbq. That was a pleasant evening. And the kids played ever so nicely on the back lawn. And if you know my kids that doesn't happen very often.

Well, I'm now off to kiss my big 7 year old good night and I'm going to try not to cry.

AKA........ Boobie Wafflehump!

Dj just sent me this funny email that I've just got to share. I have had it before, years ago but had forgot about it.
So, what's your new name?

We all need a little stress-reliever! This only takes a minute. Please don't be a bore and ruin it. Send it on to everyone you know including the person that sent it to you.
Sometimes when you have a stressful day or week, you need some silliness to break up the day. And, if we are honest, we have a lot more stressful days than not.
Here is your dose of humour...

A. Follow the instructions to find your new name.

B. Once you have your new name, put it in the subject box and forward it to friends and family and co-workers.
And don't go all adult - a senior manager is now known far and wide as Dorky Gizzardsniffer.

The following is excerpted from a children's book, Captain Underpants And the Perilous Plot Professor Poopypants, by Dave Pilkey, in which the evil Professor forces everyone to assume new names...
1. Use the third letter of your first name to determine your new first name:
a = snickle
b = doombah
c = goober
d = cheesey
e = crusty
f = greasy
g = dumbo
h = farcus
i = dorky
j = doofus
k = funky
l = boobie
m = sleezy
n = sloopy
o = fluffy
p = stinky
q = slimy
r = dorfus
s = snooty
t = tootsie
u = dipsy
v = sneezy
w = liver
x = skippy
y = dinky
z = zippy

2. Use the second letter of your last name to determine the first half of your new last name:
a = dippin
b = feather
c = batty
d = burger
e = chicken
f = barffy
g = lizard
h = waffle
i = farkle
j = monkey
k = flippin
l = fricken
m = bubble
n = rhino
o = potty
p = hamster
q = buckle
r = gizzard
s = lickin
t = snickle
u = chuckle
v = pickle
w = hubble

x = dingle
y = gorilla
z = girdle

3. Use the third letter of your last name to determine the second half of your new last name:
a = butt
b = boob
c = face
d = nose
e = hump
f = breath
g = pants
h = shorts
i = lips

j = honker
k = head
l = tush
m = chunks
n = dunkin
o = brains
p = biscuits
q = toes
r = doodle
s = fanny
t = sniffer
u = sprinkles
v = frack
w = squirt
x = humperdinck
y = hiney

How's that for fun. Have a great day!

2nd tooth - LOST!

Shanice lost her second tooth tonight........................

The look on her face when it finally came out brought a tear to my eye.

My little princess is growing up. On top of that I can't believe she is going to be 7 next Sunday. Time has just passed so quickly by. It just felt like yesterday when she was home with me everyday.
Love you sausage!

my first car accident

I thought that I was at a good point in my life to come off my "happy pills", but boy was I wrong. I came off them in late January and since then everything has just gone pear shape. I really don't think that it's me taking things out of proportion, but just general things just going WRONG!
Connor has started big school and he is finding that adjustment really difficult. It seems that everyday his teacher is telling me what he did that was naughty that day. It is starting to takes its toll on me though as I keep thinking is a reflection on me as his mother. Am I really that bad of a parent. What have I done so wrong for him to behave like this.
He is such a loving, sweet monkey man, but on the flip side he can be so stubborn and determined and angry. It can be like living with Jekyl & Hyde. Scary thought!
The final straw came yesterday afternoon when his teacher called me over after school and said he was extremely difficult and he wouldn't go into class and the kindy teachers resorted to calling the principal down to get him into class. To put it bluntly that me me feel like shit. With all that has happened with Connor in is first few weeks at school we are having to get the school councilor involved. But if it helps I'm all for it. God I hope it helps.
So when I got home I called my doctor and tried to get him an appointment to see her asap. And I was expecting a minimum of a 4 week wait to see Margaret, but I got squeezed in on Monday afternoon. I she can help me!
Oh yes, my car accident.........
I had my very first car accident yesterday. Not something to rave about I know, but it scare the living crap out of me. I think I may have written off the excel if not I've done about $4000 worth of damage to it, which is what we paid for it. Great!
Well, it happened right out the front of the kids school on Jersey road. I was on my way to work so thank god there was only me in the car. I was too busy watching the feral Plumpton High kids spew all overt the road as the got off the bus and I just didn't see the cars stopped and I just ploughed into the car in front of me. What do I do, hit one of the kids that are so intelligent that they don;t know how to walk 20meters to the crossing or hit a car? The car was the better choice.
I didn't do much damage to car in front as it's an older car and they were built really tough. But my car's a mess.
I was so shaken and still are a bit. I'm fine physically though, just nasty headaches.

Well that's all the drama in the Sheppard-Morris household for today. It can only get better so they say. So chin up and on we go!
